Refund Policy
Refund Policy
FirstToShip (firsttoship.com)
Draft date: September 8, 2026
Effective date: [DATE]
This Refund Policy explains when you can get a refund for FirstToShip, a one-time $99 (or then-current price) digital course/kit sold on firsttoship.com. It is a web purchase only—not an App Store / IAP product.
We aim to be fair and clear: digital goods can’t be “returned on a shelf,” but you should not be stuck with a broken purchase or a clear double charge. At the same time, open-ended refunds after you’ve unlocked and used a substantial part of the kit aren’t sustainable—so we define a clear window and access threshold.
1. 14-day refund window (if not substantially accessed)
You may request a full refund within 14 days of purchase if you have not substantially accessed the kit, as defined below.
Access threshold (how we decide)
Within those 14 days, a purchase is treated as not substantially accessed (refund-eligible under this section) if either:
- Unlock never activated — the primary purchase unlock / access grant was never used (no successful unlock event tied to the order), or
- Light use only — unlock was activated, but you opened fewer than 2 content modules (lesson/module pages that count as course content). Opening the post-purchase landing / “start here” / welcome screen alone does not count toward that limit.
A purchase is treated as substantially accessed (generally non-refundable under this section, except Section 2) if, within the 14-day window:
- Unlock was activated and
- You opened 2 or more content modules
Outside the 14-day window, purchases are non-refundable except for Section 2 cases or where mandatory consumer law says otherwise.
Enforcement (ops)
- We may rely on server-side unlock and module-open events to apply this threshold.
- On any approved refund, access is revoked (unlock/license invalidated; content no longer available for that order).
- Checkout should disclose immediate digital delivery and, where required, collect acknowledgment that the cooling-off / withdrawal right may be lost once delivery begins—Web/Growth to wire per MoR and jurisdiction.
2. Always-refund situations
We will refund (or reverse) in these cases, even outside the normal window when appropriate:
- Duplicate / double charges for the same purchase
- Unfixable technical failure that prevents you from accessing content you paid for, after you gave us a reasonable chance to fix it (e.g., unlock never delivered and support cannot restore access)
- Clear processor or checkout error resulting in an incorrect charge
We may ask for order details and steps you’ve already tried so we can diagnose quickly.
3. What is not refundable (typical cases)
Unless Section 2 applies or law requires otherwise, we generally do not refund because:
- You changed your mind after unlocking and opening 2+ content modules
- You didn’t like a recommended third-party tool (Codex, Claude Code, Cursor, Base44, etc.) or didn’t get the outcome you hoped for
- Third-party tools charged their own fees, broke, or banned an account
- You expected App Store–style IAP rules (this is a direct web digital purchase)
- You simply didn’t have time after unlocking and opening 2+ content modules
4. How to request a refund
Email adiloloix4@gmail.com with:
- Subject line:
Refund request – FirstToShip - Order email / receipt ID / approximate purchase date
- Brief reason (helps us fix product issues)
- Whether you can access the kit (and any error messages)
We typically respond and process approved refunds within about 5 business days (processor timelines may add a few days before funds appear on your statement).
5. How refunds are paid
Refunds go back to the original payment method via our payment processor ([Payment Processor Name / TBD]). We do not issue cash or alternate-method refunds unless the processor requires it.
After a refund, we revoke access to FirstToShip content associated with that purchase (unlock/license invalidated).
6. Chargebacks
Please contact us before filing a chargeback or payment dispute. Many issues (double charge, missing unlock) are faster to fix directly.
Unjustified chargebacks after you’ve substantially accessed the kit may lead us to contest the dispute and restrict future purchases. We will still honor valid Section 2 cases.
7. Consumer law
If you live somewhere with mandatory cooling-off or digital-content rules that give you stronger rights than this Policy, those rights apply to the extent required. Where digital content delivery begins with your prior consent and acknowledgment that the cooling-off right may be lost, we will follow applicable law and our checkout disclosures.
8. Changes
We may update this Policy by posting a new version on firsttoship.com with an updated effective date. The policy in effect at the time of your purchase generally governs that purchase, unless a change is required by law.
